Photographing Morocco with the Fujifilm X-T4 and Fujifilm XF 23mm F1.4

For a lightweight travel setup on my recent trip to Morocco, I decided to only take my Fujifilm X-T4 and the versataile XF 23mm F1.4 prime lens. I like to travel light, so shooting prime helps me reduce weight, and I have found the 23mm to be my favourite focal length for travel. All of these are edited JPEGS and were shot with the following recipe:

Classic Chrome
Dynamic Range: DR200
Highlight: 0
Shadow: 0
Color: +2
Noise Reduction: -4
Sharpening: +1
Clarity: +3
Grain Effect: Weak, Small
Color Chrome Effect: Strong
Color Chrome Effect Blue: Weak
White Balance: Daylight, +2 Red & -5 Blue
ISO: Auto, up to ISO 6400
Exposure Compensation: 0 to +2/3 (typically)

We started off in Marrakech. The streets were hectic and there was a total disregard for safety. In the first car ride from the airport to our accomodation I had witnessed a motorcycle accident.

We stayed in a beautiful Riad located walking distance from several of the main attractions. The streets were colourful, flavours were full, and the sound of the hustle and bustle were muted whenever we retreated into our accomodation.

After our stay in Marrakech, we made our way east to the coastal towns of Taghazout and Essaouira. It was a total shift in atmosphere. Marrakech was red, dry, non-stop. These coastal towns were more open, blue, and the people seemed to take life at a much more relaxed pace.
